Over 200 mTrack Systems Delivered and 340 AHC Systems Worldwide
Scantrol proudly announces the delivery of more than 200 mTrack systems, contributing to a total of close to 350 Active Heave Compensation (AHC) systems worldwide.
Number 200 arrived in pink, delivered to C-LARS, a color choice inspired by Director of Operations Sara Patterson and her well-known preference for pink.
Developed during a challenging period in the market, the mTrack AHC controller opened an entirely new segment for AHC technology. By combining an integrated Motion Reference Unit (MRU), predefined applications, and straightforward installation, mTrack allows operators to achieve precise load control without costly engineering resources or expensive sea trials. Its ability to compensate for mechanical imperfections in traditional winch designs has also enabled reliable AHC performance on a wider range of systems than previously possible.
– “Passing 200 delivered mTrack systems and 300 AHC systems overall is a significant achievement. It demonstrates the trust our customers place in Scantrol and confirms that our mission to make AHC technology accessible and cost-effective is succeeding,” says Cato Johansen, CEO at Scantrol.
mTrack is now used across an extensive variety of applications, from winches and cranes to LARS and cylinder systems, with lifting capacities ranging from lightweight 30 kg downhole operations to heavy-duty systems exceeding 500 tons. Scantrol’s portfolio continues to grow, controlling more than 230 hydraulic and 100 Electric systems. 102 Upgrades and 235 newbuilding deliveries,.
mTrack supports a broad range of operations, from deep-sea fibre rope winches operating at 6000 meters to diamond recovery work in Africa.
Scantrol supports all customers with free training, online support, and operator courses to ensure safe and effective system use worldwide.
mTrack no. 200 to C-LARS
The delivery of customer number 200, C-LARS’ state-of-the-art Launch and Recovery System, further demonstrates the versatility and reliability of Scantrol’s technology in demanding offshore operations. The system represents one of several recent LARS deliveries in a growing collaboration, with system number 13 scheduled for delivery in February.
“We have been working with Scantrol on various projects that require active heave compensation. The mTrack units are very user friendly, the support team is super responsive, and the unit itself is consistently reliable offshore,” says Sara Patterson, Director of Operations at C-LARS.
