How to upgrade your LARS?
Together with our partner Hydramec we can take any Launch and Recovery Systems and carry out active heave compensation upgrades to increase your systems efficiency.
Hydramec will install the new control system and take care of any mechanical or hydraulic work that is needed.
An encoder is also installed on the winch for accurate length measurement during all stages of operation, also during AHC.
Implementation of the control system is flexible and we work together with the client to keep existing functionality or replace the entire system where needed. All AHC upgrades uses the AHC Controller, mTrack.

Determine the expected performance of your LARS
The line speed of the winch is normally the limiting factor for AHC operation, and the maximum line speed determines the compensation level that can be achieved. If your winch has a maximum line speed in the range of 50 to 80 m/min, it will be possible to compensate for 3 – 4 m vessel motion, which is sufficient for most AHC applications.
We offer full AHC analyzes to determine the AHC capacity of your winch, and if necessary, we can give guidance of any modifications that can improve AHC performance. Hydramec can carry out any modifications needed.
