Scantrol Deep Vision wishes you all the best for Christmas from Bergen, the city of the world’s largest gingerbread town.
Or at least we like to think so…
Since 1991 the gingerbread town in Bergen has been a much loved Christmas tradition for children and grownups alike. This year’s town consists of 2000 buildings, trains and cars over a space of 430 square meters. 12 000 people contributed to the building of the town.
Unfortunately this is not big enough for Guinness World Records who has judged a gingerbread town of 1003 houses in New York the world’s largest. The reason? The town is made up of more gingerbread than its Bergen competitor that also includes trains, trees and other decorations not made of gingerbread.
Still, we want to offer you some highlights from the world’s second largest gingerbread town to set you in the right mood for the holiday season ahead.
